Featured Podcast: How to become a better person

Just posting another podcast that I found quite useful.

It comes from Coaching from Leaders, and you can subscribe to the podcast via any podcast app.

However, to listen to it via the app you will have to create an account.

The link is: https://coachingforleaders.com/podcast/376/

The reason I am posting this is that it really talks about how you can improve yourself. While the podcast focuses on it from a business point of view, I feel that the lessons can be applied everywhere.

It features an interview by James Clear, who wrote the book Atomic Habits. The idea is that if you want to be a better person, you try and become that, not by goals, but by setting up good habits.

So, if you want to be a famous speaker, think of what habits they have. If they practice writing every day, maybe start with that as a small habit every day.

Also, try and be part of a crowd that helps you be the person you are.

The episode extract from the website is below, which gives you some key points.

James Clear: Atomic Habits

James Clear is an author and speaker focused on habits, decision-making, and continuous improvement. He is a regular speaker at Fortune 500 companies and his work is used by teams in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Key Points

  • Goals are great for deciding what direction you want to head, but to actually get there it’s all about your systems.

  • Start with the identity you want for yourself and build your habits to reinforce that identity.
  • Your habits are what prove your identity to yourself.
